Ashley N. Cloud's understanding of business did not begin in a boardroom. It began in her mother's beauty salon in Houston, Texas, where she watched strategy unfold in real time through client retention, cash flow, staffing, and community trust. That early exposure shaped everything.

Ashley earned her JD and MBA in Supply Chain Management from Howard University with a clear vision: to advise business leaders not just on legal compliance, but on the decisions that shape how companies grow. While at Howard, Ms. Cloud co-founded the Howard Law Fashion Law Society and served as its inaugural president, deepening her work at the intersection of brand, business, and culture.

Ashley began her legal career in public service as an Assistant Attorney General in the DC Office of Consumer Protection, then went on to serve at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she became the first Black and highest-ranking attorney in her division. Those roles gave Ms. Cloud a sophisticated, inside understanding of regulatory enforcement, risk mitigation, and how federal oversight intersects with business growth.

Today Ashley is the Founder and CEO of The Cloud Law Firm PLLC, a virtual boutique law firm advising fast-growing, revenue-generating companies across consumer brands, technology, professional services, and government contracting. Attorney Cloud partners with founders, CEOs, and executive teams as Fractional General Counsel, embedding into the rhythm of their businesses to provide ongoing strategic legal guidance across IP strategy, commercial transactions, partnership structuring, dispute strategy, and risk oversight. The approach is proactive, embedded, and built around one goal: making sure the legal foundation of your business is as strong as the vision behind it.
